Write for us
Golden Theatre Journal welcomes thoughtful pitches about theatre craft, performance and playgoing. We are interested in clear, original ideas that help readers notice something specific about how theatre is made or experienced.
What to pitch
Propose a focused piece on a theatrical choice, form, practice or question. A useful pitch says what the reader will understand or notice by the end, why the subject suits our scope and how you would approach it. Distinctive examples are welcome when they can be described accurately and fairly.
What makes a strong contribution
We look for lively, careful writing that explains unfamiliar terms and separates observation from opinion. Avoid broad claims that cannot be supported, promotional copy, and pitches built around access or experience you cannot verify. Tell us whether the idea has appeared elsewhere and disclose relevant interests.
How to send a pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a short summary, a possible working title and a little about your approach. A pitch is not a promise of publication; please wait for a response before sending a full manuscript.
